When a customer enters a unique one-time code we share with them, a temporary software download package is downloaded through the portal that, when run, will allow our agent limited remote control of the device. The software allows the agent to take keyboard and mouse control for troubleshooting and deploying fixes. It will stay connected through a reboot, but once the service has ended, the software cannot be accessed and must be downloaded again when you next seek service.
